This document is provided to assist in removing and replacing the battery<\/a> for the HP Compaq 6710b Notebook PC<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Shut down the Notebook. If you are unsure whether the Notebook is off or in Hibernation, turn the Notebook on, and then shut it down through the operating system.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Disconnect all external devices connected to the Laptop.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n
    Disconnect the power from the Notebook by first unplugging the power cord from the AC adapter<\/a> outlet and then unplugging the laptop AC adapter<\/a> from the Notebook.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Slide the Business notebook 6710b battery<\/a>\u00a0out of the battery bay.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    \n<\/strong>Slide the     laptop battery pack<\/a> into the battery bay until it is properly seated and the release latch clicks.<\/div>\n
