You can purchase additional <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aussiebatt.com\/toshiba-pa3817u-1brs-batteries.html\">Toshiba PA3817U-1BRS battery packs<\/a><\/strong> for extended<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>use of the computer away from an AC power source although you should<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>not change the battery pack while the AC adaptor is connected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you remove the battery pack, save your data and shut down the<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>computer, or place the computer into Hibernation Mode. Please be aware<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>that, when placing the computer into Hibernation Mode, the contents of<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>memory will be saved to the hard disk drive, although for safety sake, it is<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>best to also save your data manually.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure the Toshiba notebook battery is securely installed in the computer before<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>attempting to charge the battery pack.
